The front desk receptionist, Maria, was great—professional, very friendly at check‑in, answered all my questions, and even helped me when I got lost walking in the forest. Thank you, Maria; I greatly appreciated all your help. The most important thing I liked was the location and the people who work there.

The breakfast used to be the highlight of our trips before covid, but in 2026 it was awful: the French toasts felt like cardboard, the selection was poorer than a cheap motel breakfast, and the restaurant food was terrible—fish tacos were sour and overly breaded like frozen fish sticks. For a $450 per night room, the food quality was a huge disappointment, so I won’t return. On the bright side, the views and nature remained unchanged, and the staff were kind and friendly.

The grounds were nice and the kayaks and bikes were usable. However, last year’s breakfast was fantastic with plenty of fresh fruit and pastries, and this year it seems they cut back, leaving it underwhelming.
