“Excellent location, building and hotel workers.”

The two Touareg guys running the hotel were very helpful and honest, always ready to assist with anything. The location, right in the old town, is excellent and can be reached easily by bus, taxi, or car through a narrow alley near a main street. The building itself is beautiful. The guide Mohamed, arranged by the hotel, was a bit deaf or struggled with English, German, and French, though he spoke English well. Our tour turned into a lot of shopping, and he steered us to a tourist trap for food. The manager is usually polite but not very proactive.

“Une grande déception”

The reception by Abdul and Aziz was friendly. However, despite booking a "Suite Junior de Luxe" based on stunning photos, our room was far from luxurious. On the top floor, the view was of a plastic roof and drying laundry. There was no privacy at all; the curtains on the two windows and the glass door were completely transparent at night, and the door was 20 cm narrower than the windows. The bathroom switch was dirty and sticky, the toilet bowl was wobbly, a panel of unpainted plywood was on the right side, the sink and tap were from another era, and there was grime behind the tap. Everything felt old and made of junk, including a chair with a damaged armrest. The terrace was dirty, and the loungers hadn’t been cleaned for years. We were supposed to stay six nights but left on the first morning, even though the manager offered us a slightly better room; trust was lost.

“Just a few metres away from the old medina, nicely decorated and super friendly staff.”

This old family house has been converted into a lovely Riad with beautiful decor. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Nothing to complain about.

The architecture was beautiful and the staff were very good. The bathroom inside the room could have been better. There were no slippers in the rooms.
