“Disappointed.”

The staff communication was okay. We were not happy at all: the toilet was unclean, the shower room was very dirty, the room was unsatisfactory with many bugs and dirt from the walls to the floor and bed. I was not happy and it was never cleaned. They had no kettle or anything for emergency use, especially when we tried to use the telephone—it never worked. Overall I am very disappointed.

I’m very disappointed with the poor maintenance of the room. The bathroom sink was blocked and didn’t drain, the soap rack and other hanging fittings were broken and crushed, the bathroom door didn’t work properly—it swung back quickly and forcefully, which is very dangerous. The TV was not working and none of the channels were accessible. The condition of the room was unacceptable and needs urgent attention.

I had an amazing stay at Sparkling Resort Kataragama, especially thanks to the two reception staff who were absolutely superb and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us warmly and assisted with everything we needed, their friendly attitude and excellent service truly made a difference. Thank you both for going above and beyond and making our stay so pleasant!

The room and bathroom were both great.

The location was okay, but overall there isn’t much to do in the area. There was no WiFi in the room and the lobby WiFi was poor. The bathroom was a little rusty and dirty. I’ve had better accommodation for less money, so it wasn’t worth the stay. The staff, however, were super friendly.
