The Genzianella Hotel sits in a prime spot for hiking, and we tackled the glaciological trail to see the Forni Glacier (see photo). It’s also right next to a ski lift for winter skiing and summer ascents. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is superb, with many homemade cakes like pear and chocolate and also savory dishes. The hotel is decorated with local antiques (wooden skis, etc.) that we loved because they add a nice atmosphere. The “Stua” is remarkable (see photo). The only downside was the €20 a day charge for our dog, who doesn’t make a mess and is used to staying at home; honestly, that seemed excessive, as other hotels usually ask a similar fee for the whole stay.

L'ottima colazione con tanti prodotti locali L'accoglienza genuina ed i consigli di Stefano. Nonostante fosse fine agosto, la camera era un po' freddina
“Rilassante per un breve we”
The welcome, breakfast, and overall structure are excellent; the location is probably better in winter because of proximity to the lifts. Nothing else to note.
The owners are incredibly kind! The view of the mountains is stunning! The cakes at breakfast are excellent!

Saying everything is simple, but it was all simply beautiful, I’ll definitely return. The weather was the only issue.
