Unfortunately, the actual room is in a separate, far less charming block and getting there feels like navigating a maze of pedestrian lanes – a real hassle if you don’t speak Chinese, even with a taxi. I only got the access directions two days after I arrived, and the room itself wasn’t the cozy, leafy retreat the pictures promised.
