“Een enorme aanrader!”
The place is truly recommended and the hospitality felt exceptional; the pool was fantastic, the beds were wonderfully comfortable and the bathroom felt luxurious. Both the breakfast and dinner were plentiful and tasted more than good, while the staff were extremely helpful. The owner was on site throughout our visit and invited us on the first day to see the elephants at the lakeside national park, which turned out to be a beautiful experience. On day two we went on a safari, and the hotel’s close proximity to the park made that very convenient. All in all, I would definitely book again.
The owner and all the staff were attentive, and the hotel’s harmony with nature was remarkable.
The safari was well organized, and they cooked delicious curries that were very generous. The manager was very friendly and helpful.
“Located close to Park entrance, nice pool and food”
The room was small and quite basic but very clean with a comfortable bed. It was nice to have a pool to cool down and relax. The food was pretty good. We were there when the owners were staying there – they normally live in Colombo – and they were lovely and welcoming and spoke very good English. The staff were friendly and accommodating but some of them spoke very little English. The location was very near to the entrance to the Park. They were happy to arrange a safari for us as well as transport to Negombo. The wi‑fi was not good – it kept dropping in and out. The price for accommodation and food was higher than what we’ve paid at all the other locations we’ve been to in Sri Lanka, but I guess that’s due to its remote location and the limited options available.
The staff were super friendly and the location was great for a safari to Wilpattu, where they arranged a nice tour for us. We were picked up, and breakfast and lunch were included, plus plenty of water. The guys driving around in Wilpattu were enthusiastic and fun. The pool, however, wasn’t really clean and wasn’t always usable.
