The staff tried hard, but a “private bathroom” didn’t mean it was in the same building as the bedroom; we had a high hut, so we had to descend a steep staircase behind another hut to reach our bathroom, which had a toilet and shower.

A big thank you to the Casadyan Inn crew for making me feel at home; the receptionist was very friendly and attentive, the waiters always smiled, and the kitchen team was amazing—especially the sweet chicken. I’ll definitely return.

It was one of the best moments of my Philippine trip: the place was super quiet, only the waves at night, and you could rent a kayak, snorkel, or book island hopping. The staff were professional, though the bathroom was a bit uncomfortable; at least there was a proper toilet in the main building.

The homestay looked pretty but was very basic, surrounded by a local school; I didn’t find any good snorkeling spots, and I felt a bit bored alone at night. I wouldn’t recommend staying long—comfort was limited, and the place was tiny.
