The room was spacious enough and it even had a separate bath in addition to the shower, which was great. I couldn’t try the much‑talked‑about downstairs restaurant because it was closed on Tuesdays during my stay.

The location was fine. Unfortunately, I suffered a severe breathing episode caused by an allergy to duck feathers in the bedding—clinically known as feather duvet lung or hypersensitivity pneumonitis—and the owners only replied with a “Sorry for the inconvenience.” Their lack of compassion was disgraceful; I had to sleep on a rolled‑up towel as a pillow, head at the foot of the bed, window open for air, and all other bedding was taken off the floor.

The room was comfortable with a good ensuite and very quiet, and the restaurant in the unicorn offered superb food. The only downside was that tea and milk weren’t refilled during my stay.

Everything was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Jade was extremely helpful when I couldn’t check in until late, and I would highly recommend the place.

Great location. Ten minutes walk into town. Huge car park and no reservations necessary. We stayed in room 1 at the front of the Unicorn which looked out across fields. There was a lot of road noise which we heard as we had to have the window open as it was very warm. The bedroom was lovely and spacious. A gorgeous bathroom too. Loved the sensor light on there and the light around the mirror which I discovered by fluke!! Very comfy bed. Lovely bar area and pool table room on site. We didn't eat in the Indian restaurant on site as we chose to eat in town. But it smelt delicious!!. No WiFi. The server and password were written in the cabinet at the bottom of the stairs. The server was not found on any of our devices. The room was a little dark especially around the mirror in the bedroom. Perhaps a small lamp may help.? Our door rattled quite noisily every time another guest went in or out of the property. Made us jump!! As it was warm, a fan would have been a bonus as we had to have the window open and the road was noisy. Even through the night. On arrival, we had to phone app through to the property as nobody was there to greet us. A short wait and the lady arrived. Very quick hand over of the key card
