We tried calling the host ten times without any answer, and all our other attempts to reach him failed. Getting there was a nightmare – our car slipped off the road ten times, there were no parking spots, and the streets were extremely steep and narrow. When we finally arrived, the house didn’t even have a number, and we only found it thanks to a local who called several people and finally got the owner’s number. In the end we were moved to a different unit (we had booked #28 but were given #22) that was sweltering; the air‑conditioning wasn’t fixed, so we had to stick a hose out the window and still ended up sweating. The promised jacuzzi/hot tub never existed, there was no balcony, and the Wi‑Fi was either missing or unusable, so our phones were dead. We barely slept because of the heat and insects, and the photos shown were of various properties, not the one we actually booked.
