The lodge was immaculate, the surroundings were peaceful and quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the location was great. The only drawback was that the bistro was closed for food, which was disappointing because it only opens on Thursdays – we would have liked to dine there.

The location was outstanding, the lodge met all our needs, and the hot tub was a delightful way to finish the day.

We had everything we needed, and the hot tub was a lovely bonus in the calm, quiet surroundings. The property did have a faint urine smell, which was unpleasant, and we had to bring our own pillows and bedding for the bunk beds. The shower was best positioned at the rear of the bathroom or had a curtain to stop water spraying everywhere. It’s a shame no wildlife visits the pond or lake, especially with such a large pool of water.

The location was unbelievable and the cabins turned out to be a lot bigger than I expected, making it perfect accommodation. There was literally nothing I could fault.

The hot tub was in a quiet, beautiful spot, heating was excellent and the Wi‑Fi was flawless. The lack of an oven was a downside, as it wasn’t mentioned in the property notes and we had to bring food to cook. The wet‑room shower left no space to dry anything; the towel stayed soaking wet throughout our stay.
