“I won’t be coming back for that one reason”

The staff were friendly, the location convenient, and the facility very clean, but the rooms were too small to be comfortable, especially the bathrooms.

“Excellent”

The reception staff, Barry Oswald and Rich, were so kind and always made you feel at home. The housekeeping was subpar: one night they forgot to clean the room, another day they left the coffee machine parts in the sink, and yet another time they forgot to leave towels. I was shocked by such poor service.

It isn’t my first time at the Méridien 5thbAv, and the location is spot‑on for everything, with a warm, professional welcome especially from the friendly “Rich” who listened attentively, plus a good breakfast and solid service. The downside was the housekeeping coming in at 5 pm when I was trying to rest—a nightmare—only one bottle of water (US$0.65) for a double room that cost over $400, and no slippers despite having asked for them in advance.

“Stay was slightly disappointing”

The location was good and the Wi‑Fi worked, but the room was cramped and dark, there was no door to the shower, and cleaning happened at five in the evening.
