The owner and his grandson, attentive to doing a good job, arranged kayaking and canoe trips through the canals at sunrise and sunset. The homestay’s location by the river is convenient, even though access isn’t easy; it’s central on the island. Air‑conditioning, hot water, and good Wi‑Fi are provided in the rooms. However, the rooms and common areas weren’t very clean, and the bedding was also lacking.

From the instant I stepped in, the AK RIVER SIDE HOMESTAY felt like a warm hug; the hosts were super friendly, always ready with local tips and extra help. They truly went the extra mile to ensure my stay was comfy and memorable. The homestay sits in a quiet neighborhood, and my room was spotless, equipped with air conditioning and a cozy bed. Every morning, a tasty breakfast kicked off the day, and the hosts even accommodated dietary preferences, which I appreciated. I also enjoyed the snug common areas, and the main highlight was the riverside setting—boating was arranged by the host, and the river itself was a spot for swimming. The climate was pleasant and the area silent, making the blend of hospitality, location, and facilities unforgettable; I’ll definitely return next time.
