The setting was amazing – a pine forest, close to a clean lake, quiet and intimate. On site you can rent kayaks and other water gear, and pets are welcome. There’s a sauna and a tub (we didn’t try it). Coffee lovers can use the public espresso machine. The place is as equipped as a campsite, clean, and the host keeps it that way. The common areas need a refresh; they’re tidy but chaotic and lacking detail. Some equipment is worn, and several fixes look temporary – expect a bit of a gap between the photos and reality. Extra service pricing varies: cash rates differ from BLIK rates, with a 23% surcharge for cashless payments, so bring cash. The hotel day ends at 10:00 on Booking, which makes sense for preparing tents for new guests, but the host isn’t flexible and extra charges may apply for staying on the premises. We left the tent before 10:00, packed up, and cleaned the space. We asked if we could stay for breakfast and coffee, but were told that coffee and the power needed to brew it are the most expensive items. The host’s inflexibility means we won’t return, though the rules are clear and everyone can choose what they like.
