I checked in earlier than the listed time, and they even let me shower before that. Great facilities and a prime location for Petra, plus a packed lunch for the trip! The stairs were a few, but totally manageable.

The place is well‑located, the staff are friendly, and the bathrooms are clean; the cabins are tiny but exactly as described. The food—both breakfast and dinner—was tasty and plentiful, and the two local staff members handled everything smoothly.

Petra Cabin Hostel and Restaurant is a solid, budget‑friendly spot for anyone visiting Petra. It sits just a short walk from the Visitor Center, so you can start exploring early without transport hassles. The vibe is relaxed and the staff are welcoming, ready to give tips on Petra, arrange transport, or suggest nearby sights. The cabins are simple but clean, offering basic comfort after a long hike. The restaurant area is a highlight: the food is tasty, with good local dishes and simple international options. Breakfast is filling and a great way to kick off the day before heading into Petra. Backpackers and travelers looking for an affordable, social base will find it suitable. It may lack luxury amenities, but it delivers great value and a comfortable stay close to one of the world’s most amazing historical sites. All in all, Petra Cabin Hostel and Restaurant is a dependable choice for those wanting a convenient, friendly, and budget‑friendly base for exploring Petra.

Great location, just a few minutes' walk from the Petra Visitor Center. The shared bathrooms are clean and well‑maintained. The room is small, but it’s clean.

Everything was fine: location, staff, cabins, food, good Wi‑Fi. Dinner is generous for 7 dinars. They have a smoking room, which is pretty admirable these days. The cabins are spacious and offer plenty of privacy. Toilets and showers are constantly cleaned and quite roomy. The spot is close to the visitor centre, a definite plus if you’re staying more than one day like I did. Good restaurants and supermarkets are a 5‑7 minute walk away. Excellent Wi‑Fi and decent space with sofas and tables for work. No proper water dispenser— you can fill a glass but it feels guilty to fill a bottle because it’s very small. No hot water for making coffee. Cabins are private and roomy, but definitely not sound‑proof. The hostel is on the top floor, so lots of stairs to climb. It was okay for me but could be a problem for others.
