“Lovely place to stay.”

The room was excellent and the beds were comfortable. The bath and toilet were also very nice, just they don’t have a wardrobe or cupboard to keep our clothes. There is no cupboard for clothes.

“Sempre top”

Staying at Mama Shelter Paris West is always a pleasure; I’d visited before on business and this time booked an XL room on the 7th floor for my family, which felt both cozy and practical with everything we needed. The rooftop on the 8th floor houses a pizzeria, restaurant and an outdoor terrace that are all first‑rate, though it was a shame the ground‑floor brasserie was closed in August. The metro is a five‑minute walk away, and a short ride down to Concorde puts you right in the city centre.

The design of the different rooms, the laundry area with a quality Miele washing machine, and the Laurastar ironing station were all good, so you didn’t have to keep calling reception. The reception at arrival was lacking – no greeting, luggage wasn’t taken or even asked if we wanted it handled, and the lady’s response was rather snippy because we arrived early with children. The staff also misprinted the bills.

The family room was superb, the breakfast excellent, and the restaurant on the 8th floor is very good – we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. The cleanliness was only average, and some of the amenities didn’t work, like the bedside light.
