The ground floor suite was right on the street, so the neighborhood kids were noisy; the three‑bed suite had a queen bed in a separate bedroom and a twin bed plus sofa in a small living room.

This place is a gem, and everything was perfect.

The beach and all the shops were close by, and the host’s communication was superb. The wireless internet was unstable.

The central spot gave quick access to shops, taverns, the port, the beach for views, a doctor, and the police. The apartment was clean, equipped with almost everything needed (just missing a microwave), and had a washing machine and dryer if required. Coffee was provided daily, towels were changed daily, and parking in front of the villa was available only if space existed. The host was reachable by phone and present when needed. Drenia Beach lies on a nearby island. Many taverns offer affordable prices, usually a lunch or dinner for 10‑12 € per person. The water was crystal‑clear, turquoise, and the people were friendly; many spoke Romanian, especially at the taverns. There were opportunities to take cruises to nearby islands, see part of Mount Athos from a ship, and maybe spot dolphins with a bit of luck. We didn’t have Wi‑Fi, even though the host claimed full signal. Our phones didn’t detect his network, probably due to different router settings. There was no beach set up in the immediate area, only a port. If you want a beach with facilities, you’d have to drive 3‑4 km to reach one with umbrellas, or take a mini‑boat to Drenia Beach on a nearby island, about 15‑20 min away. Alternatively, a boat to Ammouliani Island offers more equipped beaches, all at extra cost. The boat to Drenia costs 7 € per person round‑trip, children under 7 are free, and there are additional charges.
