The host was very nice, the bedroom was fine, but the bathroom was small and the shower was a bathtub you had to climb into, which made it tough for a senior like me; the location was gorgeous, though getting there from the parking lot required a lot of walking on uneven cobblestones.

Theodora was okay for a night in Makrinitsa, and its spot on the main pedestrian street is ideal because there aren’t many other places in this small village; the attached bar/cafe could be a plus or a minus depending on what you’re after. Check‑in was easy enough, though a bit later than we’d liked, and the instructions were simple, with the room matching the description. We missed breakfast because it was served at 9:30, which was a bit disappointing but not unusual for Greek breakfast times in the area. The main downside was that the room and bathroom were only clean on a surface level—there was a lot of dust on the curtains and other signs of a lack of deep cleaning. We understand these are old accommodations, but that shouldn’t stop them from being thoroughly cleaned; it wasn’t extreme, just a bit off‑putting. Overall, fine for one night.
