The location is great, close to Marceneiro beach and Vilinha, and every staff member was super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, very clean, and even had a balcony with a hammock. Everything was wonderful!

The cleaning crew and kitchen staff were friendly, but the lodge feels unsafe—there are no staff or reception on weekdays and nights, no security or doorman, the place is completely unprotected, and it’s prone to theft and disputes among guests; the area even has a recent history of attacks on lodges and tourists.

Everything was perfect, the lodge is charming and beautiful—a delight. You do need a car because transportation in the city is unreliable; there’s no Uber, 99, or taxi. Otherwise I highly recommend it; it’s just 2 k from the little woodworkers’ town, with many good shops and restaurants. The accommodation was perfect, and the cleaning crew and breakfast staff were very friendly.
