Exactly as advertised. Signage at the entrance was missing and I would have liked Wi‑Fi.

“Lovely cosy getaway with a great host and close to local attractions if you have a car. Great host.”

The location was good, about 2‑3 miles outside Sidmouth, and the buses were fairly easy to use; I loved the hut itself—very cosy and romantic—and Pete was a great host. There was no wifi, which was clearly stated in the description, but that didn’t bother us; the hut sits near a main road, so traffic noise can be loud, though the host plans to improve this for quieter stays.

“Beautiful shepherd's Hut, very comfortable”

The hut was beautiful, very clean, and the furnishings and facilities were comfortable and even a bit more than expected; the host welcomed us with milk and water in the fridge, coffee pods and sugar, and the garden furniture was comfortable for enjoying the outdoors. The bathroom was great, with a very nice shower and towels provided. The only downside was that it’s closer to the main road than we realised, so there was a lot of traffic noise, but that also meant a short drive to Sidmouth and a short walk to a garden centre that offered great breakfast and lunches.
