The outdoor area is nice and the bar is cozy with friendly staff; breakfast was good. Inside the room, however, everything felt very tired and dated, the only heating was an electric plug‑in heater, the Velux window blinds were stuck, and overall it looked a bit scruffy.

I liked this old coaching inn and was impressed by the rescue story I read online. It was only superficially clean, with lots of cobwebs under and behind furniture, and there was a bad drain smell from the shower room at night.

Arriving on a bike, a friendly staff member greeted us and safely stowed our bicycles. The room was spotless and cozy, and the silence was appreciated. I liked the old building’s character and tasteful furnishings, and breakfast offered a great selection of foods. I would definitely recommend this place.
