The location is fantastic for watching the northern lights from the hotel and is priceless; the staff—especially Pedro, Daniel, and Olivia—are very friendly and attentive, and the idea of a place to relax and disconnect is fulfilled 100%. Nothing bothered me.

The rooms had standard furnishings, eleven outside, the food, duvet, and bed were fine, but the bath was a little cold.

The room was perfect, the location great, and the staff were exceptional, even knocking on our door late at night to wake us up for the Northern Lights. After booking a 3‑night stay we were told to pay 900 NOK ($94) for a 1‑hour late check‑out, and the Northern Lights tour felt very low‑effort and didn’t justify the price.

The hotel near Alta sits nicely on the banks of the Altaelva, offering absolute calm. The reception was friendly, and the lobby is stunning with a fantastic view, a bar, a fireplace, and cozy armchairs. The wooden buildings are beautiful. The RIVER room is spacious, with great materials, comfortable bedding, and a superb bathroom. We dined at the only restaurant open at that time and enjoyed excellent dishes crafted by a talented chef. Breakfast matched the quality of the establishment. The surroundings are also gorgeous, with short walks starting from the hotel, and the hotel organizes many activities.
