“Parfait, très satisfait”

The room was exactly as described, even bigger, and the balcony was very pleasant. It had a fan‑air‑conditioner and everything worked well; the water was hot and relaxing, and the place was very quiet. Food was available downstairs until 1 am, and there were several menus. A grocery store was a one‑minute walk away, and a laundromat was also one minute away—good organization. The host was generous once I arrived, and I liked him so much that I extended my stay. He was very flexible, letting me add a few more days at the last minute, and when I paid at the end he had no problem with the money, didn’t harass me, and was available whenever I needed him. I travel a lot and this is by far the best host I’ve met.

“Friendly cheap homestay.”

It’s a cheap, no‑frills homestay. It’s a bit out of the way, but a RM 6‑8 Grab taxi fare gets you there. Renting a motorbike is ideal because there’s plenty of parking. The host was friendly and helpful, and there was no check‑in—keys were ready in your door. No room or tourist taxes. The room was fully functional with a good shower, A/C, and TV. The balcony had a table and two chairs. You can extend your stay at no extra charge if you have a late flight. A shop is opposite the road, plus a burger stall and a local food outlet on site for evenings until late. I would recommend this homestay. The only downside is there’s no fridge in the room or communal area, but we used a cool bag with ice and it worked fine.

“Good but a bit isolated”

- 10 mins grab from main beach - Aircon was good and good hot water. - No water like photo shows - Not really walking friendly location

The room was clean and the location was good if you have a scooter. There were no trash cans in the room, only one in the corridor that was always full and never emptied. Given all the previous comments, I don’t understand why the owner still hasn’t installed a fridge or a water fountain. After I complained, they delivered water, but it was never fresh.

“Langkawi is a really beautiful island that I would highly recommend”

The host was easy to contact. The balcony offered a really nice view. There are some nice and cheap food places nearby. A lot of bottled water was provided. It’s a bit of a walk to the nearest beaches, but Grab taxis are very cheap to get there. Some of the main tourist areas are on the other end of the island. The Wi‑Fi works, but it drops out a lot, so it’s not great if you need a consistent connection. There’s no fridge, so you’ll have to drink a lot of warm drinks; even if you buy cold drinks to bring back, they won’t stay cold for long.
