Hotel Annis M&P

The location was decent, close to the main train station, and the room was clean enough for what it cost. However, the toilets had a horrible odor, and there was no body soap or shampoo in the tiny shower. The area felt a bit hostile; as Israelis, we felt uneasy as people downstairs kept asking about our background. The entire place was saturated with cigarette smoke, and the room was noisy from the floor below at all hours. The room was very small, which is what we paid for.

“Sehr kleines Zimmer, weniger als zweckmässig zu völlig überteuertem Preis !!!”

The room was insanely tiny, with just a double bed, a washbasin, a small shelf, and a tiny table—nothing more. We paid 129 € for one night because a BVB football match was happening, and there were two primitive toilets in the hallway. The price didn’t match the value, and I wouldn’t recommend Hotel Annis at all. On the bright side, the room was clean, the bed had good linens, but everything else was definitely not worth it.

The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, and I would definitely give them 5 stars. The room was only average, so I’d rate it 3 stars. The price is absolutely fair. The quiet location is especially pleasant, allowing for a good rest without disturbances. For a trip or a short stay, this hotel is definitely a solid choice. The bathroom and toilet were very small and not particularly pleasant.

My two‑night stay was in an excellent hotel. Everything was clean and tidy, yet it’s close to the metro and the city center. Huge thanks to the kind Annis who was very helpful and could point you in the right direction for anything you need. I will definitely come back.
