The bungalow offers a great view, the breakfast was nice, and the welcome was excellent. It’s a bit off the main area and the constant scooter noise from the parking right next to the bungalow is annoying, plus there isn’t enough hot water for a bath.

The location was good, but the restaurant and breakfast were overpriced; there was no juice because the machine was broken, and nothing was offered to the kids. The place wasn’t very clean – the bathroom was a disaster – and there were lots of insects in the bungalows above the reception, as if termites were about to devour everything. Hot water was an issue on the first night, and on the second night there was no hot water at all; it was fixed quickly, but we still had to endure cold showers.

We got rooms on the second floor that were poorly positioned, with very steep stairs to climb, so we didn’t like them much except for the location, which is a 2‑minute walk from the rice terraces and 10 minutes from town. The bungalows looked better. The beds were unusable. The upper rooms faced the street, so we couldn’t enjoy the river view. There was no air‑conditioning; the fans made a lot of noise. The staff didn’t speak much English, but we managed with technology.

The garden is charming, the riverside terrace is great, and the location is close to the Rice Terrace Trek and many good restaurants. The showers are half‑outside (though they have hot water, thankfully), which is a problem in a place that rains regularly, and the pool has a border lined with scolopendra, which discourages swimming.

Everything was beautiful in front of the river, but the room was a bit dark at night.
