The front‑desk team was friendly when I checked in, and the whole building smelled great—anyone know what they used? Every spot was spotless, even the separate communal toilet and shower. The spot was spot on, just a short walk to the back of the tower and the Winter Gardens. The room had two beds and a sink; it was a double and a single side‑by‑side, so you had to climb over the bed to reach the edge of the double. The double bed had springs that poked through, leaving red marks and small lumps on me. When I went to the bathroom at night, the hallway floorboards creaked loudly, making me worry I’d wake someone else.
