The only draw of this hotel is its proximity to the cruise shuttle area (Largo della Pace); it urgently needs renovation. The bathroom feels dirty, the toilet has rust stains, and the shower door has mould.

Breakfast was excellent; my husband loved the coffee, and I really enjoyed the juices—no one left hungry. Everything was good.

We picked Hotel Traghetto because of its convenience before our cruise, and it turned out perfect. The location is incredibly convenient—just a few minutes from the port bus station that takes you straight to the ship. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and understanding, especially when we arrived late due to train delays. They gave us a port map and clear directions for catching the bus to the ship, making everything smooth and stress‑free. Our room was large, spacious, and clean, including the bathroom. We also enjoyed a huge balcony with a great view of the port, where the cruise ships lined up. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay—highly recommended for anyone cruising out of Civitavecchia.

I got to the hotel at 1 am, my suitcase hadn’t arrived, and I was in tears; the front desk man was very empathetic and advised me on how to return to the airport the next day (I’d already paid €130 for an FCO taxi!). He let me use a room for half an hour to change, and when I came back late afternoon with my case, he let me use it again. The hotel itself is very basic and dated, but the staff were great. It’s a perfect location for the cruise ship transfer bus, which he also escorted me to, carrying my case! Thank you. The beds are very uncomfortable.
