The room was surprisingly spacious, so I can’t see why the negative reviews exist—value for money is excellent. The bathroom is small, yet the hot water pressure is decent, almost perfect compared to other places on Flores. You can sit nicely outside the room, and a supermarket is just around the corner. The owner was helpful and friendly. The only downside was a faint odor, but that’s tolerable at this price and even shows up in pricier accommodations on Flores and across Indonesia.

The price is fairly good and the rooms are roomy. The building feels dated and needs some updating. The guesthouse is very close to the airport, so the area is quite noisy.

The food is decent at least. The staff are not very helpful; whenever we ask for advice or a service, they treat us like living coin purses.

A very loud banging came from the backdoor that we couldn’t open! It started at 3am and didn’t stop, so we didn’t sleep.
