“Just ok”

The front desk demanded 50 rupees for a tourism fee, which was surprisingly high. The bathroom, supplies, and water supply were all subpar, with insufficient water for four people sharing a mixed dorm, including drinking water. Additionally, a fraudster was staying in the first room known as Bamboo, and the receptionist even confirmed it; I included his photo in red.

“I highly recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit Gangtok or traveling solo; it is the best”

Located in the heart of Gangtok, this place feels like home with a cozy, clean room that’s very budget‑friendly. The staff are incredibly welcoming, creating a warm social atmosphere with evening music, jamming, and karaoke in the common area. Everything in the city is within walking distance from MG Marg, making it perfect for solo travelers or friends who want to explore without spending too much. The only downside is the Wi‑Fi, which was a bit spotty, and you’ll need to bring your own towel, slippers, and soap.

The rooms are fine but lack a proper fan, and the night‑time water supply was disappointing. Yogita ma’am’s attitude started off okay but deteriorated around 12, leaving me confused about the owner’s intentions. Overall, the experience was just average.

“Excellent backpacking and solo traveller location in east sikkim.”

The hostel sits in a great central spot in Gangtok, offering a lively social area where you can meet many people. Rooms are clean and staff are helpful, but there are no towels or bottled water provided in the rooms.
