The receptionist was very friendly, but in the triple room the single bed was missing a shelf for an alarm clock and other items.

David was wonderful! The hotel sits on the main road opposite the lake, our three‑bedroom room had a lovely balcony with a view of the sunset, breakfast was excellent, and walking to the main sights was easy; you also get a free pass for local buses and trains.

The spot was great, overlooking a short park stretch toward the lake, and the room offered a superb view of the mountains on the other side; the staff were friendly and efficient.

I was impressed by how quickly and warmly Manager David responded during the early stages of my booking, though I missed the chance to thank him in person because my itinerary kept shifting. We were heading to Zermatt, but on the morning we arrived in Montreux I decided to climb the mountain to catch a full view of the Matterhorn, so David was already on his night shift when we got there. The next day, after traveling from Basel to Baden-Baden, a train service was inexplicably cancelled and we had to take a bus, forcing us to leave the hotel around 6 pm. The room was spotless and could comfortably hold two 27‑inch suitcases flat. The balcony faced Lake Geneva directly, and when I entered the room the sun was still setting, giving a beautiful view of the lake; I recommend watching the sunset from the balcony. On the downside, the toilet was too close to the sink. Although the hotel is not far from the main train station, the front street and the station differ by four floors, and I happened to find an elevator on the way in; the public elevator only opens at 8 am, so I had to climb the stairs when leaving, which I captured in a photo of my luggage.
