“We would return just for the peace and quiet, although it was quite a way from central Edinburgh!”
The continental breakfast was wonderful and beautifully arranged. Olga and James were very friendly and outgoing, and we appreciated the fresh air that flowed in from the bedroom window. The place was lovely and clean. Our room felt a bit cramped for us (my husband is 6.4"), though they probably didn’t realize that, and I might have mentioned it. The shower was a bit tricky; a few instructions would have helped.

The owners were very friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was wonderful and presented with great detail. However, arriving early to drop off luggage is possible but you’ll be asked to leave again until check‑in; it would be great to have a quiet moment to use the toilet and take a few items out of the suitcase after a long journey.

The B&B’s building is gorgeous, historic, well kept and beautifully presented. Olga and James are delightful, he’s incredibly friendly, she’s sweet and attentive to details! Everything went fine.
“Koninklijk genieten in een prachtig oud Schots huis”
The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the welcome was personal. We hadn’t accounted for the fact that the bathroom wasn’t attached, so there was a bathrobe hanging, but it was still a bit of an adjustment.
