The room shares a bathroom with the owner, who also lives in the apartment, and guests have to take off their shoes when they arrive, which felt a bit odd. A taxi to the airport costs €30. The bed squeaks and there’s no air conditioning or TV in the room.

Arriving very late at night, the host still welcomed us warmly and later shared the best walking routes, the tastiest eateries, a bit about Italian mentality, and tips on using public transport, plus a coffee available in the morning.

The host was excellent, transport to the bus and train stations was straightforward, a grocery store and coffee shop were nearby, the place was exceptionally clean, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable.

Alex welcomed us kindly, is super friendly, and gave us local recommendations. The room is very suitable for two, located in a quiet area, everything is very clean, and supermarkets are close for shopping. The airport is very close by car; it’s much cheaper to order a taxi than use apps. Public transport is a bit more complicated, you have to go first to the city center or train station and then catch another bus to the airport.
