We adored every detail: the warm welcome, the room overlooking the sea, the cozy bed, and the amazing breakfast featuring fresh fruit, yogurt, and pastries.

Sam and her daughter were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the gluten‑free breakfast was a real treat; the location was quiet, with plenty of free parking, and we enjoyed a lovely view of the pier and sea from our room, though we were disappointed to have only a double bed when a king‑size would have fit so well.

The house sits in a prime spot, just a short walk from Goodrington beach, the aquapark, and Roundham with its sweeping bay views, plus Paignton harbour is visible from our room and is a quick stroll away to explore local Chinese take‑away, restaurants, and the town itself; the room was spotless, comfortable, and every morning offered a delightful selection of pastries, yogurt, eggs, and fruit juices in a picnic basket by the door, and Sam and her family were exceptionally welcoming—already booked to return next year, and we can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

The mountain spot offered a stunning view of the sea and bay, and our attic room under the roof had two single beds; however, there was no dedicated breakfast room—breakfast arrived in a picnic basket outside the door for us to eat in bed, the microfiber bedding felt fine, but the floor creaked loudly whenever we walked.

Breakfast was flawless, with a small basket outside the door containing everything we needed; the beds were super comfy, the rooms were impeccably clean and tidy, and the hosts were genuinely friendly and welcoming—one of the best places we’ve stayed at, and we’ll definitely come back if we visit Paignton again.
