The Port Of Kyrenia Hotel

The cleanliness was good. As a tourist you have to look at signs and the internet doesn’t work. The hotel’s sign isn’t there; we barely found the staff who took us from where we were. The rooms transmit sound terribly – we could hear the conversation of the people in the next room clearly and had to sleep with a fear of being woken. The bathroom had a smell, and there was a mysterious cigarette scent even though we didn’t smoke; we couldn’t figure out where it came from. I won’t stay here again. The hotel has two entrances; when we tried to get in at night they put a chair behind it and we couldn’t get in. Overall it was very disappointing and not worth the money.

We arrived late at night and the staff didn’t tell us anything about breakfast times. The hotel actually had two entrances; one of them leaked water from the pipes onto the floor, creating a strong, unpleasant odor. On the bright side, privacy and comfort were given priority.

“Just a bad experience all in all.”

The hotel’s name had been changed to something else on the street sign. Noise was relentless until 5 am. The room had a staircase to the bed and no windows, a detail not shown in the photos. The restaurant’s food quality was poor. The booking page claimed breakfast was included, but the front desk denied it. We tried to check out because of these issues and were unable to get any refund.

The place sits right in the middle of town. The only downside was a faint damp smell inside the room.
