The hearth warmed my heart. Dinner was delicious. I was grateful to share the stay with my medium‑sized dog. It was cool and comfortable. The air felt clear.

The meals, focused on seasonal items, were healthy, tasty, and infused with a tasteful sense of spice, making the stay feel like a spa experience. The walk‑along and morning yoga sessions were unusual, and the air felt clear, giving a sense of body‑mind detox. It was midsummer, yet it was easy to get along without an air conditioner. It felt like reliving the summer vacation memories of my childhood when I accompanied my parents back home, but as an adult. The only downside was that, perhaps because we usually rely on the air conditioner, the family found the sleeping area a bit hot and struggled to sleep. The body was fragile. Early morning was chilly.

The host was incredibly relaxed and even played the flute for us, plus he cooked a nostalgic dinner on the indoor hearth featuring local fish and produce. The house sits in the rural countryside, surrounded by farms and mountainsides. The only drawback was that several groups of guests could stay at once, and the rooms are separated only by a shoji screen; during our stay, a group from Hong Kong arrived in the evening, went out for dinner, and didn’t return until 2 AM, snoring loudly all night while we slept just a meter away. Other than that, it’s a laid‑back country property offering a pretty unique experience.
