“Avoidable unless you have run out of better but cheaper alternatives”
The location was great, just a 3‑minute walk from Gate No. 2, which is convenient for seniors. The restaurant food was acceptable but a bit pricey. Staff were courteous and the reception area was tidy. Drivers could stay in the dormitory for Rs 300 per night. The road outside the hotel was badly damaged, so we had to wade through wet mud and gravel to reach the temple gate; cars could enter via the rear gate instead. The bathrooms were outdated, the plumbing leaked, and the toiletries were unbranded, smelling of harsh chemicals, so we brought our own. The standard kit was missing (no toothpaste, brush, or disposable shaving set). Hot water came from a central tank after 2 am, and there was no geyser in the room, so we couldn’t get hot water after noon. There was no shower curtain to keep the rest of the bathroom dry, and the toilet flush required manual stopping. The hotel charged premium rates, checked in after 2 pm and checked out before 12 pm, unlike hotels that allow 24‑hour stays, and breakfast was extra expensive. The only perk was a 15 % discount on food at the restaurant. Overall it wasn’t value for money. The AC and fans were noisy, and maintenance and equipment audits were not up to date.
