The service was very helpful and friendly, the bed was comfortable and all essentials were supplied, but the rooms need updating. It’s suitable for a quick stopover for guests who don’t demand much. The photos were likely taken some time ago, as the room looked old and tired, with almost no interior design. The building has potential, yet its former glory feels long gone.

Askersund is beautiful, Sweden is beautiful, but the hotel was shameless.

It was cheap and just enough for one night – exactly what we needed to get some sleep before continuing our journey before the sun rose fully. Not a place I’d bring the family to. They only gave us one room even though we had booked two; after a lengthy discussion and about an hour of waiting while the employee tried to contact the manager, we finally received the second room. The check‑in system is very manual, relying on a ledger book for guest entries.

The location suited my trip, but it was hard for my dog with the stairs.

The place was long, the beds were good, clean and tidy (a bit worn but maintained), the price was very good, breakfast could be bought separately. Lots of green space around, great for traveling with pets. I stayed there for 9 days and will stay again.
