This hostel on a Galle alley is a genuine old village house; the owner, a senior woman who has lived here for generations, still lives on the first floor while the second floor is the hostel. She is very friendly and helpful, and staying here felt like becoming a Galle resident, giving us a step‑up experience. The location is convenient for wandering the fort or shopping at the supermarket outside the fort, and the price is reasonable. We stayed only one night because of travel plans, but we would stay several nights again if we visit Galle. The only surprise was that part of the building was under renovation, which was a bit startling.

I loved the place and how close it is to everything—right in the center. The service was impeccable, and there was nothing to complain about.

The place sits right in the walled city, the beds are super comfy and everything’s spotlessly clean. No complaints at all.
