“Family break for a festival was spoilt by this property”
The kitchen was a plus, but the exterior had no curb appeal: parked on the drive, overgrown bushes, a dilapidated porch with flaking paint and dustbins at the front. The front door didn’t fit properly, looked like it had been kicked in, and there was no front room – it’s been used as a bedroom, suggesting an HMO setup with each bedroom having a keypad lock. There are four double rooms and one single, all with cheap student furniture and bedding; none have en‑suites, though there are three toilets/bathrooms in a row. The property was unclean, with cobwebs and spiders on the ceilings, dust everywhere, and a general lack of maintenance. The plastic garden step outside the back door has a huge crack, and the garden itself is awful – cigarettes litter the drains, rubble and bricks are dumped in a pile, pathways are dangerous, part of a wall has fallen over, and there are no fences in some areas, making it very uneven. If you’re a group, watch your noise levels; on the first night we were so hot we had all windows and doors open, and the neighbours complained. We were only four people.
