“ゆったり”

I stayed at this place and it was very clean. I enjoyed chatting with the talkative owner. Breakfast and coffee were delicious. When I mentioned walking around Lake Senba before breakfast, they let me bring a loaf of bread. I had a lovely time interacting with coots and mallards, which made me happy. Since I had already informed them of my arrival time, they came out immediately after the car’s engine started, which eased my anxiety. It was my first solo homestay, but I could relax.

The bed was fluffy and perfect! The plumbing was spotless and clean, and the kitchen was fully equipped. The owner was very kind and considerate, which I appreciated. The only minor complaint is that the hair dryer seemed a bit weak when you try to force it.

However, I found the owner’s communication a bit off‑beat: he made comments about my appearance and personal matters, and at times spoke negatively about other guests. It felt too personal and made me uneasy. If you prefer a quiet stay or value distance from staff, you might want to consider this.

I was impressed not only by the fresh equipment but also by how clean everything felt. The shared kitchen, toilet, and bathroom were sparkling white and gave a calm, tidy vibe. Even the hanger legs in my private room were dust‑free, letting me enjoy a very quiet morning. The place sits in a quiet residential area right next to Lake Chiba, though from the shared kitchen you could see some grass. I brought my own drip coffee, brewed it in the morning breeze, and it was a pleasant moment you don't get in a typical business hotel. The owner is very serious; after bathing he asked if the water was hot enough, and before bed he forgot to explain how to use the night light. He even went up to the second floor to open the shared kitchen curtain for us. The first time I stayed here, I had a bit of trouble finding the entrance: it took me over 20 minutes walking from Mito Station, and I kept turning the door knobs because I didn't know which way was correct.

“急な予約にも快く対応してもらえた”

The futon was soft, and I slept for 12 hours straight. The only problem was that the GPS stopped working near the destination, so I got lost.
