The owner was very friendly and helpful, the price was reasonable and it’s close to the Elephant Freedom Project. When asked, you can get a mosquito net for the bed. Unfortunately, there is mold in the bathroom and everything in the room is damp, including the bed.

The price was okay for what it is, but there was construction all day from 8 to 17, very loud. At 8:30 the reception called, texted and knocked on my door just to ask if I would check out. The checkout is at 10; don’t bother guests before that with these questions.

Duneesha really took care of us: just before our arrival he sent a lot of information about the hotel, the taxi price… He is also very, very kind! Great location for the Elephant Freedom Project.

The owner was super nice and made sure I had an amazing stay. I could change my dates last minute without any problem. He prepared the best breakfast I have had in Sri Lanka!

The location was absolutely fantastic—quiet, off the main road, and authentic. We spotted a large monitor lizard swimming in the stream behind the house, plus plenty of birds and monkeys hopping through the trees. The host offered us coffee and tea when we arrived and was very welcoming. The breakfast we added to our stay was delicious. The bedding and towels didn’t look clean at first, so I asked for a new pillowcase and it was swapped out without any hassle.
