What a great spot! The room was spacious and well kept, breakfast arrived in charming baskets, and the goats and chickens on the grounds made for a fun bonus; the pool and gorgeous views wrapped everything up nicely, and the owners were super friendly—definitely recommend and will come back!
Unfortunately nothing appealed to us. I chose this place because of reviews praising spotless cleanliness, which was not the case. The blankets and bed throws had stains, the curtains were heavily soiled, and the mattresses were stained and uncomfortable, with rough‑faced sheets also stained. Shelves inside the cupboard were dirty. I dislike pillows with permanent decorative covers because they seem unhygienic. The radiator ladder in the bathroom was dirty, making it unappealing to hang a towel. After three days the shower drain clogged; it should be checked regularly, and on the last day at 9:30 am there was no hot water. The window curtains didn’t fit well and let in too much light, which is a big drawback for an east‑facing room, plus there were no blinds, so privacy was lacking. Installing day/night blinds would let you control daylight comfortably. The walls are thin, so you hear everything from the corridor, making you dependent on how considerate other guests are—whether they’ll keep noise down or bang kitchen cabinets at 6 am. The breakfast basket looks lovely in photos, but the portion shown for four people is simply too small, unless you enjoy stuffing yourself with dry bread, because the cold cuts and cheese are limited to exactly two slices per person, plus one small cucumber, one tiny tomato, a few pepper pieces and one pickled cucumber. There are many pancakes and cereal, which have little nutritional value and leave you hungry again quickly. The cold cuts are of the poorest quality; regional specialties would have been a nice upgrade. The scrambled eggs serve only two people, which is odd if four want them. The kitchen towels in the annex smelled bad and needed constant monitoring because guests use them differently.
