“Local com cheiro forte de mofo, tudo muito simples, boa localização.”
I was shocked by the privacy violation that happened at this lodge. The front‑desk clerk used my personal phone number—obtained from the company phone—to add me to his contacts and started texting me, even though I never gave him any personal number or consent for contact. I ignored the texts and blocked the number right away. The next day, the same staff member switched to the lodge’s own phone and kept sending messages, which made me feel even more invaded, embarrassed, and unsafe. Because he had access to the reception and there was a spare key to my room, I felt threatened and had to call the Military Police for help and to ensure my safety. While the police were present, the clerk admitted to sending the messages. What worried me most was his calm attitude, as if he didn’t see how serious his behavior was. The lodge owner was called and asked if I wanted to change rooms, but the clerk left saying he was starting another job, leaving me without any real protection or explanation. I consider it extremely serious that a staff member uses a guest’s contact information obtained in the workplace for unauthorized personal outreach, and after being blocked, keeps insisting on contact via the lodge’s phone. The situation left me feeling vulnerable, especially since he might have had a spare key and I was supposed to be safe inside the property.
