We were here for the second time and once again enjoyed it; the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was a nice large bathroom. The hotel does not provide breakfast, so we went to a nearby bakery instead. We were able to park our car on the parking deck, so the walk to the room was short. However, a power outlet in the hallway was hanging loose from the wall and the second outlet was also loose; this didn’t affect comfort but should be fixed for safety reasons.

Check‑in and check‑out were smooth, with no staff present at all during the entire weekend. Parking was ample and private. The modern bathroom was great, the room spacious, water pressure good, and there was a hair dryer. They offered complimentary water and a bottle of wine from Australia. The room had a cigarette smell that couldn’t be aired out, a fluffy carpet that had the odor baked in, which is unfortunate for someone with a dust allergy. The mattress was extremely weak—acceptable for one night but would hurt my back after a few days. The pillows were flat and beaten down. The price seemed odd: we booked months in advance, paid 110 € with a Genius discount, but if we had booked on the hotel’s website or in person that same day, it would have been only 80 €.

The location is good and the rooms are comfortable. At no point do they explain where the parking is; you have to figure it out because there’s no staff to ask. Only machines are available, no human help if you need anything. There’s no air conditioning, so I don’t recommend going in the summer because the heat in the room is unbearable.

The hotel is conveniently close to Aachen and there are nice eateries nearby, plus the friendly voice on the phone helped with check‑in. On the downside, the welcome sparkling‑water bottle was only half full, the carpet was fluffy, housekeeping (every two days) emptied the trash can in the room but ignored the bathroom, the drink fridge at reception was empty of water on the first night, and we never saw any staff in five days, making the whole experience feel very anonymous.
