“Nice place but breakfast disappointing”
The building and room were lovely, the bed comfy and the room well equipped. The owner was responsive, yet we never saw him/her or any staff because everything required codes to access the front door and our room. Breakfast was self‑serve with packaged muffins, plain bagels, boxed cereal, Kuerig coffee, and red rose tea; we expected a richer spread since the inn’s restaurant is highly rated and breakfast was supposedly included.
“perfect place for us to hike and watch the stars.”
A beautiful inn in a great area with wonderful hiking trails right in the back. The restaurant offered a wide selection that included options for kids and vegetarians. The room was comfortable with an excellent bed and linens, and free parking was available for cars. Everything was liked.
High‑quality furnishings, a great bar, and gourmet food.
“Good Option for an overnight in the area”
The room and bathroom were very nice and conveniently located near the event we attended. Breakfast could have been better, but the tea was appreciated.
“Horriable for me and my 82 year old mother.”
The host was rude and absent; I had to assist with food delivery to a restaurant. There was no continental breakfast, and no one restocked it on the checkout day—only water on the ground. The owner kept me in the room from the night before, and after I paid for an upgraded room, I received no monetary change. They tricked me into staying in a dirty room, retained the difference for the larger room, and claimed they could get more for it on the webpage, yet never rented it. I was kept in a standard room on the 3rd floor even though other rooms were available; my mother, who is 82 and walks with a cane, could not get up the stairs on the first night and was afraid. The owner said I could NOT leave the room when they were closing up their restaurant. The second morning I found the bathroom in the back of their unlocked restaurant downstairs; the husband was nice, but when my wife entered the evening to work at the restaurant, she was very nasty. She told me my mother was a liability and discriminated against her, leaving us with no place to dine and locking us out of the property. I had to feed my mother leftovers from the drive there the night before, and she slept in the car in the parking lot. I want a full refund for the night of the booking. It was a disaster. The next morning we left before anyone even woke up. My mother’s birthday was that day; we wanted to eat in the nice dining room but she was offered a seat in a dirty, non‑table‑clothed room and was very nasty. She locked us out of the property and told me earlier I could not leave my room because my mom was a liability, because she walks with a cane and has dementia.
