When booking, I wasn’t told that check‑in could only be done via QR code on an internet‑capable smartphone. Because I don’t have one, I was told on arrival that I couldn’t stay there. Only after insisting on a refund for the paid night was a solution found. This smartphone‑only policy is unacceptable, and I will not stay at A&O hostels again.

The staff were very helpful and nice, and the prices were great. The property itself was okay, but some roommates were very messy and unclean, and I wish the staff could have warned them.
