“Fabulous boutique hotel in Glasgow centre”
A beautifully crafted boutique hotel in the centre of Glasgow. We loved the art‑deco feel but with all modern comforts. The staff were wonderful and the breakfast was excellent. We’re going back again soon! Rooms were a tad small, but the high ceilings made them feel expansive.
Location and the size of our room. Wellness Spa excellent. The plunge pool 🤣🤣
Clean, comfortable, convenient. A few steps to the elevator
“Great hotel in the center, clean modern rooms, great value.”
The hotel offers excellent value and sits right in the middle of everything. The room was clean and nice. The concierge was friendly and let us check in early—earlier than the 1 pm early check‑in I had paid for. They switched us from a two‑twin‑bed room to a single queen‑bed room. The breakfast buffet was tasty. The hotel is also conveniently close to the Sixt car rental agency, where we booked a car for the next day, making it easy to get there. No major issues, just a few small things: there are a few sets of stairs between the lobby and the elevator; the room is quiet and we didn’t hear neighbors or most street noise, but for an hour or two in the evening (before we went to bed) there was a loud street party with a DJ. That might just be Glasgow party culture, but we could hear it.
“A pretty good stay and a good location”
They kindly stored our luggage for free because we arrived early. Breakfast was solid and worth the price. We had to leave early on the second day, but they handed us pastries, fruit and juices to take with us. The spot is great for reaching Central Station and for a bunch of nearby restaurants. When we returned, our room was ready about an hour and a half earlier than scheduled, yet they wouldn’t let us in without charging an extra 20 pound fee (almost $40 CAD!). I’ve never had to pay to enter a room that was ready, so we just hung out in the lobby until 3 pm. The room felt a bit cramped, and the hallways were a maze with many doors, making it tricky to find the lifts again.
