The hotel sits on a quiet street just a short walk—about three blocks—from two metro stops. The front‑desk gentleman was fun, friendly, helpful, and very pleasant. I stayed there last April with my cousin and we liked it, so I came back from September 2‑5 with my adult son. We were given twin beds that were comfy, and the room was roomy, as was the bathroom. The beds were good, and there was a small sofa/couch that was handy for sitting. The location is roughly three blocks from the pedestrian Catarina Street, which has all the shops and restaurants. Across the street is a small Italian place that offers pizza to go, but it also has a full‑fledged restaurant in the back that my son liked; I just took a nap instead. Walking past the pharmacy, you’ll find a large Continente Bom store (like a Target in the U.S.), a laundromat nearby, and a few other shops. Breakfast at the hotel was quite good, with plenty of breads, pastries, hot foods, cereals, tea, coffee, fruits, etc. There’s also a small grocery across the street and a pharmacy a corner away. We both recommend this hotel for its location—far from the high‑priced tourist spots and the noise—and the staff is the best. P.S. Our room was cleaned daily; even though we kept our towels for a day or two, the staff still cleaned.

The bathroom was smashing and the breakfast was good. However, the hotel is quite a long, steep walk from the centre of Porto.

We arrived in Porto early and were able to drop off our bags and explore the city. The staff were very helpful.
