Located on historic Banbury Cross, the Whately Hall Hotel is a 17th-century coaching inn set amidst beautiful gardens and a croquet lawn. This hotel features modern rooms with en suite bathrooms, work desks, and tea/coffee facilities. Enjoy a grab-and-go breakfast, dine in the Swift restaurant with oak panelling and iron chandeliers, or relax in the Horton bar with a snack menu.

The room was lovely, close to everything, clean, and had a really comfortable bed. The staff were friendly, helpful, and the hotel had a lot of character. The walk to reception was long, making it hard to reach if you can’t walk far or need a lift, and the floorboards were incredibly squeaky! 😆

The staff were very welcoming, breakfast was excellent, the hotel was spotless and the location was ideal. It’s a great spot to explore the charming villages; we’ve stayed here before and will return, big thanks! The only downside was that our room could have used a touch-up—tea, milk, and toilet paper were barely stocked when we arrived. These are minor details, but my boss always stresses the importance of attention to detail.

The staff were very helpful, swapping the King Size bed for twin beds. The gardens are beautiful. The bar staff are friendly. Regular visitors.
