I stayed in a perfect room that had everything I needed. The rooftop pool was great, and I was usually the only one there, though the view from it wasn’t that amazing. Breakfast was spot on – they made omelets, scrambled, and fried eggs right in front of you, and you could pick the rest of your breakfast items yourself. The hotel sits on a major transit route yet remains quiet, and nearby you’ll find good, inexpensive food, shops, and a motorcycle rental. The downside was Patong beach, which was crowded with boats, jet skis, and parasailers.
