The location was fantastic, right on the Strand walkway by the beach, and the front desk and valets were great, but the bar staff lagged behind, leaving us waiting almost 15 minutes before they asked what we wanted. Check‑in started at 3 pm, yet we only entered our room an hour later because the front desk kept saying they were still checking. The housekeeping staff later told us the room had actually been ready at 11 am (she said 3:15 pm the next day). The front desk handled it nicely but it was still annoying. The floors in our room were covered in sand and required a second vacuuming. The shower’s soap dispenser was empty, as were the coffee pods.

It was also handy that we could borrow beach equipment like a beach chair. The price‑performance ratio was disappointing – it was very pricey for the limited amenities (no pool, no gym), and parking at the hotel was also quite expensive with few cheap alternatives.

The TV, which was promised to have Chromecast capability, didn’t work. The shower lacked shower gel in the pump, and both the shower and sink grout were black with mold. The pillows were terribly uncomfortable and small. The continental breakfast was worse than what you’d expect at a 3‑star hotel, and for $500 per night it simply didn’t meet our expectations.
